Frequently asked questions

Is it safe to buy and sell on Warbay?

Keeping trades safe is the whole point of the platform. Here's how we protect both sides:

  • Your payment comes to us first. We hold it for 14 days, or until you leave positive feedback on the item — whichever happens sooner.
  • Warbay is a trading name of Wellesley Inc Ltd, a company that's been operating since 2010, so there's a real business standing behind every order.
  • If something goes wrong, we step in as arbitrator rather than leaving buyer and seller to sort it out alone.
  • Still not sure? Pay via PayPal and you'll have their standard buyer protection on top of ours.
What happens if an order goes wrong?

We split issues into three categories, each with a clear resolution path:

  • Lost in transit — you get a full refund. If the item later turns up, just let the seller know.
  • Not as described — the seller can offer a partial refund. If you can't agree, they cover return postage and you send the item back in the condition it arrived in. We keep an eye out for repeat patterns from either side and act on them.
  • Change of mind — return it within 14 days of ordering at your own cost. The seller may deduct the original outbound postage from your refund.
My order hasn't arrived — what should I do?

First, message the seller directly and ask for a tracking number and dispatch date. Most orders land within 2–3 days, though it can occasionally take longer.

If it's been a full week with no sign of it — even if the seller has given you tracking details — contact us so we're aware and ready to step in if it still hasn't shown up inside the 14-day protection window.

Do all sellers ship to the same places?

No — every seller sets their own shipping locations and rates, so check each listing individually before you buy.

How long does delivery usually take?

Sellers are expected to post within 2 working days, with delivery taking no more than 5 days after that — so 7 days should be the maximum wait in most cases. Got a deadline? Message the seller directly and let them know.

Are listing photos always of the exact item I'll receive?

Not always, and here's how to read a listing:

  • built or painted model listing should show exact photos of the piece you'll actually receive.
  • new, boxed, or on-sprue listing may only show a stock image — the description tells you exactly what's included.

In short: if it's built, expect real photos. If it's new-in-box or on the sprue, the stock photo shows what the finished model could look like — not what you're getting pre-built or painted.

Do you only list Warhammer products?

As a newer platform, and with Warhammer being by far the most popular system, that's where our main focus sits today. We're actively open to expanding into other wargames as demand grows.
